Ingredients

  • *300g tipo 00 flour
  • *180ml warm water
  • *7g instant yeast
  • *1 tsp salt
  • *200g San Marzano tomatoes, crushed
  • *200g fresh mozzarella
  • *Fresh basil leaves
  • *Extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. 1Mix flour, yeast, salt, and warm water. Knead for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise for 90 minutes.
  2. 2Preheat oven to its highest setting (ideally 500F+) with a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet inside.
  3. 3Divide dough in half. Stretch each piece into a thin round on a floured surface.
  4. 4Spread crushed tomatoes, tear mozzarella over the top, and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. 5Slide onto the hot stone and bake for 10-12 minutes until the crust is blistered and cheese is bubbly.
  6. 6Top with fresh basil leaves and another drizzle of olive oil before serving.
